About Mirco Cloud Primer
Mirco Cloud Primer exists for one reason: most explanations of cloud computing assume you already know what a server is. We don't make that assumption. This site is a free, plain-English reference for people who are curious about the cloud but have never had anyone explain it without jargon.
Who this is for
We write for complete beginners, students, non-technical professionals who keep hearing terms like "IaaS" in meetings, and small-business owners trying to decide whether moving to the cloud makes sense for them. If you've ever nodded along to a conversation about "the cloud" without really following it, this library is for you.
What this is not
Mirco Cloud Primer is not a store, a reseller, or a certification provider. We don't sell cloud services, we don't compare vendor prices, and we don't promise that reading an article here will get you a job or a certificate. We also don't take money to feature, favor, or avoid mentioning any particular cloud provider — this site carries no sponsored content.
How the site is organized
Content is split into two layers. The Concept Library is a searchable glossary of roughly 100 short entries — one sentence definitions, everyday analogies, and practical guidance. The five category sections hold 45 longer articles that go deeper into specific topics, each reviewed against public, dated sources.
Independence
This site is independently operated. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or any other cloud provider. Product and project names mentioned here belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe real technology accurately — see our Legal Notice.
